Taking A Writing Break

Last week, I forgot to mention that Iā€™m taking a writing break. Instead, I plan to do as much reading as possible. Plus, Iā€™m trying to gather inspiration and brainstorm ideas for next yearā€™s Austen anthology, which will be paranormal.

šŸ§›šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøIā€™m thinking vampires, which means Iā€™ve been delving into the research rabbit hole of Austen/vampire mash-ups, and thereā€™s so much out there to read. Iā€™ll be trying Jane Bites Back by Michael Thomas Ford and Pulse and Prejudice by Colette L Saucier. Have you read these and what did you think?

Anyway, I didnā€™t want to leave you with nothing to read this week. šŸ˜‰

As itā€™s Afternoon Tea Week in the UK, I thought Iā€™d remind you I have some excellent posts crammed with facts for history lovers or those interested in tea.

All Things Tea

If you want to discover what you might get up to at a Georgian tea party, check out this post:

If you’ve read the above, youā€™ll know a tea party differs from afternoon tea, so check out this post, too:

Tea with Austen

Letā€™s not forget this yearā€™s Austen anthology. My short story for Tea with Austen features a tea party hosted by my heroineā€™s bossy and mercurial employer, Mrs. Hammond.

Release day will soon be upon us, but donā€™t wait until 28th August.

So, while I’m taking a writing break, I’ll leave you to check out these posts. Enjoy whatā€™s left of the summer, and Iā€™ll be back to my normal posting schedule next week.
