Last week, I forgot to mention that Iâm taking a writing break. Instead, I plan to do as much reading as possible. Plus, Iâm trying to gather inspiration and brainstorm ideas for next yearâs Austen anthology, which will be paranormal.
đ§đ»ââïžIâm thinking vampires, which means Iâve been delving into the research rabbit hole of Austen/vampire mash-ups, and thereâs so much out there to read. Iâll be trying Jane Bites Back by Michael Thomas Ford and Pulse and Prejudice by Colette L Saucier. Have you read these and what did you think?
Anyway, I didnât want to leave you with nothing to read this week. đ
As itâs Afternoon Tea Week in the UK, I thought Iâd remind you I have some excellent posts crammed with facts for history lovers or those interested in tea.
All Things Tea
If you want to discover what you might get up to at a Georgian tea party, check out this post:
If you’ve read the above, youâll know a tea party differs from afternoon tea, so check out this post, too:
Tea with Austen
Letâs not forget this yearâs Austen anthology. My short story for Tea with Austen features a tea party hosted by my heroineâs bossy and mercurial employer, Mrs. Hammond.
Release day will soon be upon us, but donât wait until 28th August.
So, while I’m taking a writing break, I’ll leave you to check out these posts. Enjoy whatâs left of the summer, and Iâll be back to my normal posting schedule next week.
