Rebels of Rushmore Book 3
As soon as Danny and Sadie meet there’s an instant attraction, so there’s lots of proximity tension and electricity in the air, etc.
It’s a case of opposites attract. Danny is so easygoing and generally nice. He’s the boy next door: well mannered, raised by a single mum, so kind and considerate of all, very polite, and never loses his temper.
Sadie, on the other hand, is blunt and aggressive at times. She’s focused on her football career, very competitive and single-minded, but she’s not unlikeable. As someone who says what she thinks and doesn’t care about offending people, Sadie’s a character people will either love or hate.
Her main issue surrounds her father. She’s bitter towards her dad and feels he gave up too easily by allowing them to move to England after her parents divorced, so this has led to some serious trust and commitment issues on her part.
Both Danny and Sadie want to focus on their respective sports careers, and they are determined to keep it platonic. This means there’s plenty of tension while they fight their attraction every step of the way. We all know they’re going to succumb, it’s just a matter of time and that anticipation kept the pages turning.
When they finally give in it’s explosive and steamy. Then it falls apart when her trust issues kick in so they’re back to square one.
Overall this book is a nice, easy read.
